Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Frederick Ma has appointed Ambrose Ho to succeed Larry Kwok as Consumer Council Vice-Chairman for two years from October 7.

Mr Ho is a senior counsel and has been a Consumer Council member since January 1, 2003. He has served on a number of council committees and is currently the Publicity & Community Relations Committee Vice-Chairman.

Over the past four years, Mr Ho has demonstrated strong commitment in consumer protection and has offered valuable advice to the council. His professional knowledge and enthusiasm in public service will be of tremendous value to the council.

Mr Kwok, being the council's Vice-Chairman for six years, will complete his term on October 6.
