Curriculum Development Council chairman named
*

Prof Edmond Ko has been appointed Curriculum Development Council Chairman for two years from September 1. Nine new members have been appointed and nine incumbent members have been reappointed.

 

The new members are Prof Chow Kwok-ching, Prof Mary Elizabeth James, Lai Kam-tong, Stella Lee, Prof Lee Wing-on, Mak Wai-ching, Dr Siu Wing-hon, Wong Lam and Yiu Sai-ming.

 

Nine reappointed members are Chan Tsang Kin-lok, Jao Ming, Patrick Lai, Prof Albert Lee, Dr Leung Sai-wing, Dr Lo Kin-ki, Tsang Chi-hung, Yau Chung-wan and Yung Heung-hung.

 

Secretary for Education Michael Suen thanked the outgoing chairman and members for their contribution to the council. They are Prof Wong Yuk-shan, Dr David Bunton, Alex Cheung, Joseph Lee, Dr Lee Kar-tin, Ng Hok-ling, Pang Cheung and Tsui Kwai-king.

 

The council advises the Government on all matters relating to curriculum development for the local school system, from kindergarten to senior secondary education.
