Forums to gauge universal suffrage views
*

Two open forums will be held on August 28 and September 4 to gauge public views on the options, road map and timetable for implementing universal suffrage for the Chief Executive and the Legislative Council.

The first forum will run from 6pm to 8pm at Queens' College's school hall; the second will be held from 6pm to 8pm at Sha Tin Town Hall's cultural activities hall.

Both forums will be conducted in Cantonese. Simultaneous interpretation in English will be available.

People may register through the Home Affairs Department hotline, 2152 3027, during office hours until the day before the forums. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

The consultation exercise for the Green Paper on Constitutional Development will close on October 10.
