21% turnout rate in Hung Hom Bay by-election

Cheung Yan Hong was elected to the Kowloon City District Council in yesterday's Hung Hom Bay constituency by-election.

 

Cheung obtained 1,216 votes while the other candidate, Chau Chung Leung, garnered 458.

 

At the close of the poll at 10:30pm, 1,689 of the 8,108 registered voters in the constituency had cast their ballots, a turnout rate of about 21%. The poll opened at 7:30am.
