The latest Government yearbook, Hong Kong 2006, has been published, offering an in-depth account of government policy and an overview of Hong Kong's developments last year.
Launched at the Hong Kong Book Fair today, it is 21 chapters of facts and figures on local life, from the economy and commerce, industry and education, to health, transport and culture.
It has 15 colour sections featuring more than 160 eye-catching photographs, highlighting the city in bloom, its eco-attractions, stunning environment and wildlife sanctuaries. They also show Hong Kong's cosmopolitan population at work and play.
English and Chinese editions at $148 are available at the Information Services Department book fair booth with a 25% discount, along with more than 100 other Government publications.
They can also be purchased from the department's Publications Sales Unit at Room 402, 4/F Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, or ordered from the online Government Bookstore, by calling 2537 1910, downloading an order form from this website, by faxing 2523 7195, or emailing puborder@isd.gov.hk.
