IMMD attachment programmes

Experience sharing: Assistant Director (Management & Support) Corrado Chow (third right) poses with the officers before their visits abroad.

*

Two groups of Immigration Officers left today to join two-week attachment programmes. Three officers will work in Beijing and two in Singapore.

This scheme facilitates knowledge exchange and experience sharing between local officers and their counterparts in other countries, Immigration Department Assistant Director (Management & Support) Corrado Chow said.

The Hong Kong Immigration Department and the Bureau of Entry & Exit Authority in Beijing co-organised the pilot scheme in the capital.

Three local officers will be attached to the Beijing Capital International Airport while three from Beijing will be attached to the Hong Kong International Airport.

Two other local officers will attend a programme organised by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.
