The two-week nomination period for the Tai Po District Council Hong Lok Yuen Constituency by-election will run from April 25 to May 9. If there is more than one validly nominated candidate a poll will be held on June 10.
Any registered geographical constituency voter aged 21 or above who has ordinarily lived in Hong Kong for the last three years can be nominated. Nominees must submit nomination forms subscribed by 10 registered voters of the constituency. Each voter is allowed to subscribe to only one nomination.
The nominee must personally hand in their completed form, together with an election deposit of $3,000, to the returning officer within the nomination period. The returning officer's office is at 2/F Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po. Nominations are accepted from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to noon Saturdays.
