By-election nominations to open April 25
*

The two-week nomination period for the Tai Po District Council Hong Lok Yuen Constituency by-election will run from April 25 to May 9. If there is more than one validly nominated candidate a poll will be held on June 10.

 

Any registered geographical constituency voters aged 21 or above who have ordinarily lived in Hong Kong for the three years immediately before their nominations can be nominated. A nominee must have their nomination form subscribed by 10 registered voters of the constituency. Each voter is allowed to subscribe to only one nomination.

 

The nominee must personally hand in their completed nomination form, together with an election deposit of $3,000, to the returning officer within the nomination period

 

The returning officer's office is located at 2/F Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po. Nominations are accepted from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to noon on Saturdays.

 

Nomination forms are available at the office of the returning officer and can be downloaded at the Registration & Electoral Office's website. For questions about the by-election call 2891 1001.
