Liu Chi-keung will succeed Robert Chan as Civil Aid Service Chief Staff Officer from October 26.

Secretary for the Civil Service Denise Yue said Mr Liu has proven administrative skills and solid work experience, and is confident he will lead the department in delivering quality service to the public.

Ms Yue thanked Mr Chan for his dedicated and meritorious service and wished him a happy retirement.

Mr Liu, 55, joined the Civil Aid Service as an Assistant Training Officer in 1973. He was promoted to Senior Training Officer in 1985, and to Principal Operations & Training Officer in 1997. He has worked as Staff Officer since 2001.
