The Chief Executive has appointed six officials and 32 non-officials to the Town Planning Board for a two-year term from April 1, the Housing, Planning & Lands Bureau announces.

The Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning & Lands has been re-appointed as chairman, while Dr Peter Wong has been appointed as vice-chairman of the board.

Of the 32 non-official members, 11 are newly appointed. They are Chan Bing-woon, Walter Chan, Maggie Chan, Raymond Chan, Cheng Yan-kee, Felix Fong, Anna Kwong, Prof Paul Lam, Dr James Lau, Starry Lee and Leung Kong-yui.

Non-official members will provide the board with the needed knowledge and community input in discharging its statutory role.

Board members are also appointed to serve on its Metro Planning Committee and Rural & New Town Planning Committee.
