Privacy deputy's duties suspended

Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Roderick Woo says his deputy Tony Lam has been directed to stop duties indefinitely.

 

Mr Woo said it is not in the public interest for Mr Lam to work while an investigation into his conduct is underway.

 

Mr Woo submitted a report to the Home Affairs Bureau August 4 responding to allegations in recent press reports that Mr Lam had abused public money.
