CE to gauge views on Policy Address
*

Chief Executive Donald Tsang will meet different sectors of the community later this month to garner views on his upcoming Policy Address, which will unveil details of the Executive Council reform.

It will also touch on how to expand the Commission on Strategic Development.

In his Letter to Hong Kong broadcast today, Mr Tsang said his aim is to lay a strong foundation for the Government's people-based policy, which involves the public from different strata in the policy-making process. This will ensure policies meet public aspirations and are to the community's long-term benefit.

The Policy Address will list measures improving governance, promoting social harmony and economic development.

Direct dialogue with the public and district visits will continue despite his hectic schedule, he added.
