Emma Lau appointed Judiciary Administrator

*

Emma Lau will succeed Wilfred Tsui as Judiciary Administrator from June 15, Chief Justice Andrew Li says.

The post assists the Chief Justice in the Judiciary's administration. She will provide infrastructural support to judges and judicial officers, enabling them to administer justice effectively.

Mr Li said Miss Lau has extensive managerial and administrative experience, a good knowledge of the Judiciary and wide exposure in her civil service career. Aged 44, Miss Lau joined the Government in 1982. She was promoted to her present rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade 'B' in January 1998.

Mr Li thanked Mr Tsui for his service in the past six years.
