Chief Executive to attend Beijing meeting

*

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa will attend the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference 10th National Committee's third session in Beijing on March 11 and March 12.

 

He tendered his resignation to the Central Government this afternoon and is awaiting the reply.

 

Mr Tung has also been nominated as a candidate for Vice Chairman of the CPPCC.

 

Chief Secretary Donald Tsang will be the acting Chief Executive while Mr Tung is in Beijing.
