Kung Hei Fat Choi: Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and his wife Betty wish Hong Kong people a fruitful, harmonious and serene New Year.
*

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa expects Hong Kong's economic growth to be sustained and employment to continue to improve in the coming year.

Delivering his Lunar New Year message today, Mr Tung said this year's spring festival will be greeted by a buoyant market, as Hong Kong's economy is at its best in seven years.

Mr Tung said recent economic development is the result of the collective efforts of all residents.

"In the coming year, we expect economic growth to be sustained and employment to continue to improve. I believe that as long as we press ahead with one heart and respect for different views, we will build a more prosperous and harmonious society."

Mr Tung wished Hong Kong people a fruitful, harmonious and serene New Year.
