Three cultural committees have been established to help the Government provide performing arts, public library and museum services.

Including members from the cultural and business sectors, professionals, academics, local personalities and Government officers, the committees' members will serve for two years from November 1.

They will formulate strategies and plans for the development of cultural facilities and services, based on the Culture & Heritage Commission policy recommendations, the Home Affairs Bureau says.

They will reflect public views and enhance community co-operation and partnership and seek to enhance public interest in and understanding of performing, visual and literary arts.
