Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa has appointed a new member and reappointed three existing members to the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation's managing board.

The board welcomes Ng Leung-sing who will serve for two years, while Wan Man-yee has been reappointed for two years, both with effect from November 16, 2004.

Vincent Lo and Patrick Blackwell Paul have also been reappointed for two years, with effect from December 24.

Mr Ng has a long and proven record in public services and the banking sector, which will be valuable to the board in managing the increasing activities arising from the new railway projects and expansion of KCRC's services.

Messrs Lo, Paul, and Wan have also provided significant contributions to the board and the Government looks forward to their continued efforts in helping the KCRC to meet the challenges ahead.

The Chief Executive thanked the outgoing Vincent Cheng for his exemplary service as a member of the KCRC Managing Board for the past seven years, noting that he had provided useful advice and made valuable contributions throughout his dedicated service.

Under the KCRC Ordinance, the Managing Board will comprise a Chairman, a Chief Executive Officer and not less than four nor more than eight other members appointed by the Chief Executive.
