Chinese Embassy staff have met with several Hong Kong businessmen alleged to have been unfairly treated by German authorities at an international shoe fair in Dusseldorf.

The Government was concerned over the reports and contacted the embassy in Bonn to learn more about the case and see if assistance was needed.

Embassy staff have met the people involved and the Hong Kong Government will liaise closely with the embassy staff and render every possible assistance to the businessmen as soon as possible.
