Another 13 election nominations submitted

Returning Officers received 13 more nominations for the 2004 Legislative Council election for the five geographical and 28 functional constituencies today, bringing the total number to 40.

 

There were five for the geographical constituencies, with two on Hong Kong Island and one each in Kowloon West, New Territories West and New Territories East. For the functionals, eight nominations were received.

 

Nominees' personal particulars are available on the election website.

 

70,000 more male registered voters

Updated sex and age breakdowns of registered electors by geographical constituency have been uploaded onto the website.

 

Out of 3,207,227 registered electors in the five geographical constituencies, 1,568,594 are female and 1,638,633 male.

 

The website also provides statistics on registered electors of the 28 functional constituencies.
