Appointments

Civic education body members named
*

The Government has appointed 10 new members and re-appointed five members to the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education for a two-year term starting April 1.

 

The new members are Stephen Yip, Lisa Lau, Peter Kam, Fung Man-wai, Chan Tsang-fai, Cheng Kwan-suen, Poon Chun-yuen, Lee Wing-on, Tsang Kee-kung and Wong Wai-ching. 

 

Amy Chan, Jasminia Kristine Cheung, Fanny Lai, George Lung and Tam Wing-kun are re-appointed members.

Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education is a non-statutory advisory body tasked with the promotion of civic education outside schools through a range of publicity and educational programmes.

 

It commissions research studies on different aspects of civic education, works in partnership with other non-governmental organisations on specific promotion projects, and operates funding schemes to sponsor non-governmental organisations in carrying out civic education projects.
