CE meets legislators
View exchange: Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa meets 17 legislators to exchange views on the Hong Kong's political development.
*

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa described as 'useful' his one-hour meeting with 17 legislators this afternoon on Hong Kong's political development.

He said he listened carefully to their views, adding that both sides should have more communication in future to explore the possibility of co-operation.

He answered their questions, and said different views on issues are natural, however, discussions should be calm and rational.

Mr Tung reiterated the importance of maintaining Hong Kong's prosperity and stability and good relationship with the Central Government in promoting constitutional development.

He hopes both sides can have more dialogue in future to solve differences.
