Tam Yiu-chung and Kenneth Ting have been appointed non-executive directors of the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme Authority for 18 months from September 17.

All serving non-executive directors, including chairman Charles Lee, were reappointed for the same period.

Launched in 2000, the MPF System has been operating smoothly for three years.

The authority is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the system. It also regulates occupational retirement schemes established by employers on a voluntary basis.
