German President Johannes Rau will pay an official visit to Hong Kong from September 15 to 17 following his state visit to the Mainland. 

Accompanied by his wife and son, he will arrive on the evening of September 15 from Guilin.

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa will meet with the President on September 16, followed by a luncheon at Government House. At the lunch, the President and his entourage will be meeting local community leaders.

During his stay in Hong Kong, the President will also meet with the President and members of the Legislative Council, members of the Hong Kong Judiciary at the Court of Final Appeal, and local business representatives at a reception organised by the German Chamber of Commerce.
