Chief Secretary Carrie Lam has commended Police for its highly transparent clearance action at the Admiralty protest site this morning.
Mrs Lam said Police explained their actions to the public via the media before and during the clearance.
She believes Police will continue its briefings after the clearance ends.
She said she hopes the removal of obstacles and the reopening other roads in the occupied area will continue to be peaceful.
