Bailiffs carried out an injunction order around Connaught Road, Harcourt Road and Cotton Tree Drive at around 9am today, while the Police reminded protesters in Admiralty not to obstruct bailiffs in removing obstacles and appealed to them to leave immediately.
Before the clearance began this morning, Police Senior Superintendent Kwok Pak-chung stressed that there were enough officers deployed to maintain order and to protect public safety.
Mr Kwok also reminded the occupiers not to use violence to interfere with the bailiffs' work, otherwise officers would intervene to enforce the law.
He also advised people to avoid the clearance areas.
The Police will reopen other roads in Admiralty and Central after the injunction is completed, Mr Kwok added.
