Police have arrested 310 people since the Occupy Central protest started on September 26, and 64 officers have been injured.
Police Public Relations Branch Chief Superintendent Steve Hui told the media today the arrests were for unlawful assembly, disorderly conduct, assault, criminal damage, resisting arrest, assault and obstructing police.
He said the prolonged occupation of roads is an outright breach of the law, and urged protest organisers to end the blockade.
Although there have been no large-scale confrontations in occupied areas in recent days, there are still daily occurrences of crime and incidents.
He said people with polarised views are gathering at protest areas causing disputes that can easily develop into scuffles and physical confrontations.
He said Police have a statutory duty to maintain law and order, and he called for protestors to remain calm and peaceful in expressing their opinions.
