5 arrested for formula smuggling

Customs officers arrested five men, aged 31 to 67, and seized 990kg of powdered formula worth more than $300,000, in Lo Wu and Sheung Shui today.
 
Two men were arrested when they were about to leave Hong Kong via Lo Wu Control Point, and 22 cans of formula were seized.
 
The other three men, one believed to be the syndicate mastermind, were arrested near a Sheung Shui hut, and more than 1,000 containers of formula were seized.
 
The five will be charged for attempting to export unlicensed formula and for carriage of prohibited articles.
