Hong Kong Tramways today launched a free transfer service to connect east and west Hong Kong Island.
Westbound passengers can get a coupon at the Victoria Park stop and board the tram again at the nearby Foo Ming Street stop, while eastbound passengers can do the same in the opposite direction.
The free transfer coupon is valid on the issue date only.
The tram company has also been providing a free circular tram route between Victoria Park and Paterson Street since October 22.
A total of 225 bus routes are still affected by the protests with eight bus routes suspended and 217 bus routes diverted. Twenty green minibus routes are still diverted, suspended or have their services adjusted.
