The Centre for Health Protection has learned of eight additional avian influenza A(H7N9) cases on the Mainland involving five men and three women, aged 27 to 69.
Six are from Jiangsu, one from Zhejiang and one from Shandong.
Three of them have died while the others are in serious condition.
Mainland health authorities have reported 747 human H7N9 cases since 2013.
The centre reminded people not to visit live poultry markets and farms and to avoid contact with poultry, birds and their droppings.
