Although the Red Outbound Travel Alert for Korea has been lowered, the Government will keep monitoring the MERS situation.
Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man said today that, while the MERS epidemic in Korea can be considered ceased, health authorities will stay alert to the MERS situation in the Middle East.
He said travellers returning to Hong Kong from affected areas who show respiratory symptoms will still be sent for health assessment and may be quarantined if necessary.
