The Centre for Health Protection recorded two suspected Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases from noon yesterday to noon today.
Both tested negative for the MERS virus in preliminary testing.
Meanwhile, the department is monitoring six newly reported MERS cases in Saudi Arabia.
The cases involve four male patients and two female patients aged 35 to 77.
No human cases have been recorded locally so far.
To date, 1,374 laboratory-confirmed MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation, including at least 490 deaths.
The centre urges people to avoid non-essential travel to Korea and to avoid contact with sick people or animals in places at risk for MERS.
