The Centre for Health Protection recorded 13 suspected Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases from noon yesterday to noon today.
Of them, 12 were negative for the MERS virus in preliminary testing, while the result for the remaining case is pending.
No confirmed case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome has yet been identified in Hong Kong.
In view of the latest situation in Korea, the centre urges people to avoid unnecessary travel to the country and avoid unnecessary visits to healthcare facilities in places at risk for MERS.
