The Department of Health is monitoring 14 new cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome in Korea.
Three are in-patients in Pyeongtaek St Mary’s Hospital, one was in the same ward as another confirmed case, and nine patients and one healthcare worker were in the same emergency department of another confirmed case.
It brings the number of confirmed MERS cases in Korea to 63. Another case was exported from Korea to the Mainland.
The Centre for Health Protection said it will maintain close communication with the World Health Organisation and Korean health authorities.
