The Centre for Health Protection received notification yesterday of seven additional human cases of avian influenza A(H7N9) – one in Jiangmen, one in Jiangsu, one in Guangxi and four in Zhejiang.
The Jiangmen case involves a 67-year old woman, who died away on January 28.
The case in Jiangsu involves a 75-year old woman, and the case in Guangxi involves a 56-year-old woman. The cases in Zhejiang involve four men aged 64 to 78. These six patients are in hospital.
As of yesterday, there were 266 confirmed cases in the Mainland.
