Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang visited Kwun Tong today, meeting young talents at a mobile enterprise solutions company and receiving a briefing on smart city at the Energizing Kowloon East Office.
He first visited a mobile enterprise solutions company to learn about its business model. He noted that innovation and technology provides young people with diversified career pathways, drives economic growth and shapes the world.
He then visited the Energizing Kowloon East Office where he was briefed on the plan to develop Kowloon East into a smart city district.
Mr Yang said that smart city is the way for the Government and stakeholders to leverage on the latest Internet technologies to improve productivity and city management.
He also discussed district affairs and developments related to innovation and technology with Kwun Tong District Council members.
