Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So says the Communications Authority will pay close attention to ATV to ensure the broadcaster is maintaining its services.

Responding to reporters today on a media report that ATV will soon go into liquidation, Mr So said he would not comment on a hypothetical question. As a licence holder, ATV is required to perform and provide services according to the Broadcasting Ordinance and its licence conditions.

Should the broadcaster seriously breach its licence conditions, the authority could recommend that the Chief Executive in Council revoke its licence.
