Chief Executive CY Leung will visit Wuhan and Shanghai from April 8 to 10, to officiate at the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Economic & Trade Office in Wuhan on April 8.
He will then attend the third plenary session of the Hong Kong/Shanghai Economic & Trade Co-operation Conference on April 10.
In Wuhan, Mr Leung will officiate at the launch of the Economic & Trade Office’s office and a dinner reception. He will also meet with leaders of the Hubei Provincial Government and visit Wuhan Asia Heart Hospital.
Mr Leung will visit Wuhan University on April 9 before departing for Shanghai.
He will attend the Hong Kong/Shanghai Economic & Trade Co-operation Conference with Hong Kong SAR Government principal officials, and visit the Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Mr Leung will also meet with Shanghai Municipal Government leaders.
Financial Secretary John Tsang, Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So, Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Raymond Tam, Secretary for the Civil Service Paul Tang, and Director of the Chief Executive's Office Edward Yau will also attend the conference.
Mr Tam and Mr Yau will also join the Chief Executive in Wuhan.
