CS: Constitutional reform a Gov't priority

(March 16, 2014)

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says universal suffrage for the Chief Executive election in 2017 is a Government priority, and the whole governing team is united to further constitutional development.

Speaking to the media today, she said she is not aware of anyone inside the Government who would not want constitutional reform to succeed.
On the legislators’ upcoming Shanghai visit, she said she would like to hear feedback and suggestions from Legislative Council members on the itinerary, and will try her best to reflect their feedback and suggestions.
