Want to learn more about the diverse animal species found in our city? Be sure to catch the Science Museum's exhibition on biodiversity in Hong Kong.

Running until August 31, the exhibition features 30 live specimens commonly found in Hong Kong, including the Romer's tree frog which is endemic to the city, the Hong Kong paradise fish which is the only freshwater fish named after the city, and the Hong Kong newt which was first discovered here.

There are also other species found commonly in the countryside, such as the Asian common toad, common blind snake, the Hong Kong freshwater crab and dung beetles.

The exhibition also features four interactive exhibits:

* classification of animals;

* star of wetlands;

* recognition of body parts; and,

* microscopic world of insects.
