A 53-year-old driver has been arrested after a Tsuen Wan traffic accident in which a woman, aged about 70, died after being hit by a 24-seater van.

The vehicle was travelling along Route Twisk towards Tsuen Wan shortly before 8am. It reportedly knocked down the woman near Tsuen Kam Interchange. She was taken to Yan Chai Hospital where she was certified dead at 8.53am.

The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for further questioning.
