Appointments

Court of First Instance judge assigned
*

Joseph Fok has been appointed Judge of the Court of First Instance from February 1.

 

The Judiciary today said the appointment is made by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission. 

 

Mr Fok was born in Hong Kong in 1962. He obtained LL.B. from the University College London in the UK in 1984 and was called to the English and the Hong Kong Bar in 1985 and 1986.

 

He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1991. He was appointed as Senior Counsel in 1999 and was appointed as a Recorder of the Court of First Instance from 2003 to 2009.
