Sha Tin Magistracy has jailed five South Asians holding immigration recognisance forms 14 months for working illegally in a Pat Heung recycling depot.

Aged 20 to 32, they entered and remained in Hong Kong unlawfully. They were arrested and released on recognisance before being hired as odd-job workers at the depot. They were arrested in a December 29 raid.

They admitted taking up employment while being in Hong Kong illegally.
