Police probe deaths of mother, daughter
*
Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a homicide and suicide case in Western District, in which a 33-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter died.

At about 10.30pm yesterday, a 36-year-old woman called Police when she could not contact her relative at their home on Pok Fu Lam Road.

When Police entered the flat, they found the mother and daughter lying unconscious in their bedroom with a basin filled with burned charcoal nearby. They were certified dead at scene.

There were no external injuries on the bodies. Post-mortem examinations today suggest they died from inhaling carbon monoxide from the burning charcoal.
