Priscilla Wong has been appointed chairman of the Appeal Board panel established under the Consumer Goods Safety Ordinance, the Commerce & Economic Development Bureau says.

Ms Wong has been serving as the panel's deputy chairman.

Liu Kin-sing, Dr Chan Luen-chow and Alice Mak have been appointed new panel members. Seven incumbent members have also been re-appointed. They are Dr Ricky Tsui, Prof Vivian Yam, Raymond Chan, Evelyn Lu, Stephen Yip, Prof Kara Chan and Matthew Chan.

The appointments are for two years from October 20.

The appeal board will hear appeals against the Commissioner of Customs & Excise's enforcement decisions or actions taken under the law.
