Police have arrested five men and a woman aged 30 to 44 for illegal soccer bookmaking and money laundering.

Officers raided residential premises in the New Territories and Kowloon from September 13 to 17, seizing $5.2 million worth of betting slips.

The arrestees are believed to be bookmaking agents responsible for taking bets from the punters via mobile phone and the Internet. They have been released on bail. The operation is ongoing.
