Secretary for Justice Wong Yan Lung

Community minded: Secretary for Justice Wong Yan Lung (centre) urges everyone to accept and be partners in helping young people who have abused drugs.

Secretary for Justice Wong Yan Lung urges everyone to accept young people who have abused drugs and and be partners in helping them have a new life.

Regarding the relocation of Christian Zheng Sheng College, Mr Wong told the media today that the Government is, in principle, in support of the college. But the concerns raised by Mui Wo residents must also be addressed.

"In relation to this matter, my colleagues have tried our best to facilitate the communication and to remove any concerns on the part of the local residents, to create opportunities for both sides to discuss," Mr Wong said.

Mr Wong considered that there is always room for improvement - but not just on the part of the Government, but of the entire community.

"I appeal to every one of you here to help in this battle, in this campaign to help our young people," he stressed.

Mr Wong officiated at the No Drugs, No Regrets pledge ceremony to enhance the community's awareness about youth drug abuse problems.

New TV announcements in the public interest on this issue premiered during the ceremony.
