The stolen antique golden jug

Information wanted: An antique golden pitcher, two watches and jewellery worth about $2.1 million, and about $190,000 in cash, was stolen.

Police appeal for information on a burglary in Tuen Mun in which antiques and jewellery worth more than $2 million were stolen.

At about 1am on June 7, Police received a report that a company at an industrial building at 7-9 Ho Tin Street was suspected to have been burgled. The culprits might have cut the hasp of the roller shutter with a cutter and then prised open the shutter with a crowbar.

An antique golden pitcher, two watches and jewellery worth about $2.1 million and about $190,000 cash were missing.

Witnesses should call 2456 5370, 2456 5315 or the Tuen Mun Police Station on 2456 5200.

Police also remind people that if anyone offers them an antique pitcher of dubious origins they should report it to the Police.
