New measures to facilitate Taiwan visitors
*
Immigration Department

Taiwan residents with a valid Mainland travel permit can enter Hong Kong on visitor status and stay for up to seven days from April 27, if normal immigration requirements are met.

A valid entry/exit endorsement for the Mainland is no longer required.

The Immigration Department today said the new arrangement will provide visitors from Taiwan with greater convenience and flexibility in planning their journeys.

Two facilitation measures for Taiwan visitors have been implemented since January 1. A restriction limiting visitors to two iPermit applications within 30 days was lifted, and the period of stay for iPermit and Multiple Entry Permit holders was extended from 14 days to 30.
