Appointments

3 senior counsel appointed 
*

Kumar Ramanathan, Keith Yeung and Nicholas Cooney have been appointed Senior Counsel, effective May 16.

 

Mr Ramanathan, 55, studied at the University of Hong Kong and was admitted to the Hong Kong Bar in 1978. His field of practice is mainly in personal injuries. He is member of the Inland Revenue Board of Review and a Chairman of the Buildings Appeal Tribunal.

 

Mr Yeung, 44, also studied at the University of Hong Kong and was admitted to the Hong Kong Bar in 1987. He has a mixed field of practice in both civil and criminal cases. He is Chairman of the Buildings Appeal Tribunal.

 

Mr Cooney, 52, studied at the University of Adelaide and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia in 1980. He joined the then Attorney-General's Chambers of the Hong Kong Government in 1993 and was admitted to the Hong Kong Bar in 2000. His practice is mainly civil. He is Chairman of the Buildings Appeal Tribunal.
