Police are investigating a murder-suicide case in which an elderly couple died in Tai Po.

At about 6.55pm yesterday, a 42-year-old woman reported to Police her parents were locked inside their home in Yee Lai House, Yee Nga Court.

The couple, an 81-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman, were found lying unconscious in their bedroom. They were pronounced dead at Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital.

They both had stab wounds on their chests, and the woman is suspected to have stabbed her husband before hurting herself. A chopper and fruit knife were found at the scene.

A post-mortem will be conducted later.
